Software Updates Delayed

It's so frustrating that the software is not final until 2/17 when you are ready to efile in January but can't because program is not final. Also, the Michigan state program doesn't calculate the tax on pensions correctly without you knowing the tax law on pensions and manually adjusting. The interview for the state program needs to be revised!
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare

Basic software was good enough. However when a problem occurred that I could not initially resolve, the online support was not what I would expect and did not resolve my problem. Long wait to speak to assistant and 1st one was of very little assistance. Instructions did not clearly define what was required to be entered in all instances.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used this product for many years. It is very accurate. It is easy to use and asks and helps you answer all possible questions. The updating features are very helpful.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

State income tax offer to purchase.

This year I moved to a state that does not have state income tax. Based on the address I used on my 1040 why did this program ask me if I wanted to purchase a state income tax program to help with my state taxes? It also flagged no state tax field on w-2 line 15 for new state. It could be my w-2 was done wrong and would need a corrected w-2. Her again your program should know if line 15 is needed, or not based on my address.
Other than this program works great.

Been buying this software for years. Switched from another product because they wanted me to purchase a separate license for each return.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Easy To Use

Have used HRB tax software the past several years. Easy to use and can usually find a good deal on buying it. The only thing I didn't like this year was when it came to sending the eFile, the software still had the option to buy the State program, although I had bought the federal & state software. So that part I felt was misleading and confusing.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents

Couldn't find the returns after completing them. Wasn't sure if the returns were filed or not. Software jumped around and didn't show me everything such as state-local taxes. Left me confused as to where everything was and how to get back to it throughout the return.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare

Poor - State was bad.

The state was bad. I have to file 19 pages for a simple state return, don't think so. It says to include form IT2210. It does not say what it is or where, state or school. The review form that comes with it does not work. You ask for Accuracy & tax expertise, how can I answer it until it is accepted. As of now I have no confidence in your product. I am checking the state by hand to verify your numbers and see what I really need to submit!!!!
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
