I paid way more than I expected. I believe that when the IRS reviews the return they will be issuing a refund.

Due to a family emergency I had to file an extension at the last minute. The simpleset of all submissions. H&R Block charged me $20 for the "priviledge" of e-filing an extension.
No more! I won't use H&R Block in the future. They got me for $20, but lost a cutomer.
This is the same company that was busted for selling your income information without consent a few years back. Slime ball move.

In general I was happy with the product. But one big issue was that the accuracy check failed to flag that one of my 1099 forms had been imported twice resulting in a much larger tax bill than I actually owed. I discovered this myself only after filing my taxes, so I had to file an amended return to try to get my overpayment returned. It seems that if there are multiple1099s (or similar statements) with identical values, that would be easy to flag as an error in the software. Please make sure this is resolved in the 2025 release.

I have used H&R Block Deluxe Software for 20 years, but I am annoyed to discover there is an ADDITIONAL FEE to electronically file an extension. This is not included in the 5 electronic fillings advertised as included with activation.
