I would give TT a 2 star
HRB is only 3 as I believe there is very achievable potential for improvement
I have been using TurboTax for 15+ years. Need to go elsewhere as TT is to pricey.

Interface, accuracy, questions, etc are very comparable.
I could not file two states on line with HRB; nevertheless very easy to print and mail.
I don’t thin either has very good help with State(s)

In the past I have been satisfied with your software (SW). In the present, not so much. Last year, the whole debacle with your efile server down on tax day wasted a lot of my time with that mess. Then this year, I had "Sales of Personal Items at a Loss" on my return. I entered the 1099-k info per the interview, and the amount did then show up on schedule D at the top of the form like it should. But when I would try and print my official form, your SW would not include the schedule D. That is like ignoring the 1099-k in the IRS eyes! Your algorithm seemed to be looking for a non-zero number on the form for the numbered lines. But failing to find the value inputed by the SW on the unnumbered line at top of form.
On the Bogleheads forum, someone did post a work-around to trick the software into working. You can read about it here:

I have been recommended to use FreeTaxUSA by numerous people, and am going to give that a try next year.
