The state program has been bugged for some users for multiple years. It was trying to charge me for state when I had purchased deluxe federal + state.
I realized that I had just paid it last year thinking it was a separate filing fee.
I had to download and install on a different computer to finish my taxes.
This is unacceptable theft from your users.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Verified Purchase:Yes
Very helpful for complex calculations. HOWEVER, does not prompt for completion of Foreign Tax Credit even when it's entered during the 1099 interview process. I also had to remember and enter the amount of my loss carryforward from 2023 even though the program had all of last year's data. Those are two big dollar steps that the software should be able to handle!!!
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Clunky at best, left out critical info on the 1040 form that I had to enter manually. In my experience, the *other* tax app is much sleeker and completes all forms automatically. The financial company integrations is better in other apps too. Overall, the experience was poor compared to alternatives.
