Every Subsequent year has gotten easier, and as other organizations have started offering easy download of documents into the software directly, This has turned into a less than 1 hour process.

The best tax preparation software I have ever used, which is why I keep coming back every year. My return was processed and funds sent to the IRS within about eight days of filing. When I was employed and paying taxes on wages, my refund was usually in the bank within a week to ten days, year after year.

Block's software makes taxes easier & palatable.

I've been using H&R Block tax software since Block released it, and prior to that for a long time as "Tax Cut." The software has always been very helpful and made a stressful and sometimes arcane task much easier to deal with. That hasn't changed, but even so Block has continued to improve it by always providing the latest updates each year and through the current tax-preparation season. It's very easy to use, yet if you do have a more complicated tax situation it will most likely offer what is needed for you. I would hazard a guess that the other tax prep offerings are very good as well, as they've been available for a long time and if they weren't serviceable I would think they would have disappeared off the market. But I really like Block's approach of starting off each year with importing the needed information from last year's returns and doing so every time without errors or need to correct anything. That also applies to how the software handles each tax season: No errors, mistakes or need for corrections. I appreciate what Block has achieved and plan to stay with Block for each new tax year.

Like the title says, I have been using the software for many years... probably 15 years or more. The interface, well, its been the same too. You can either see that a a negative that there is little innovation, or a positive that you know what to expect and know where to search for things.
Ultimately the reason for the 3 stars rather than 4.... It did not pull in my Webull trades electronically this year. I had to spend over 3 hours to enter them all manually. Went back to using Robinhood.
Also, the price increase for this year is a zonk.
