I ran the federal program 3 times with 3 separate results (I am sure some was user error, but on one attempt, it claimed it pulled excess 401k contribution off my w-2, which is false, and was treating that as income. ?????
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

i have been using H & R for years. This is the first year I have had issues with it. While I am over 62, I do not collect Social Security. It kept trying to make me fill out the SS form then calculated that I owed addition amounts It would not let me delete the form SO I had to put ZEROS in all the boxes. 2 issue was that it did not carry all the information from the Federal return to the State returns It dropped all the FEIN numbers on the 1099s when they moved to the State return
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solid software, but please figure out how to integrate PA state filing like you do for federal filing. What a hassle, all the info is there, just link with state, just charge us $10 extra.
