Way too many unexplained technical points leaving one confused and with no assurance that the correct values have been properly inserted. The whole consumer version of the H&R Software seems to be a hastily pasted together version of the professional software provided to their storefront tax service providers who, presumably, understand what information is being requested. This is the second year I have used the H&R Block Software and missed several insertions which diminished my refunds!
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’ve used the software for several decades and have never had a problem with the IRS or my State Government.
There is always room for improvement thought. The computer technology of the software doesn’t seem to have changed in all the years I’ve used the program. Bringing the technology/programming into the 21st century could go a long way.
I’m assuming the IRS may have something to do the programming and it’s shortcomings. There probable won’t be any changes in my lifetime.

Updates and state download did not work properly in Mac, and it took multiple calls for over an hour to support that kept getting disconnected, to fix. This may be the last time I use this software after using it for several years. No auto import support for any of my accounts.
