Very poor lady out

Took too long to get through and had to pay more money.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare

I've used H and R block Deluxe for years never had any problems except for last year's debacle on the 15th But this year's program I imported my information And everything was right but then when I tried to file The IRS kept rejecting It For wrong numbers in social security fields into others also added zeros to amounts that I already input Took me 5 tries and corrections to finally get my 1040 accepted Problems with program ?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Reliable and easy to fill, just wish that it had more comprehensive information about some of the tax laws, but other than that a must especially if you used H&R Block the prior year.

The software kept zeroing out income tax with held from spouses retirement. It took 4 tries before it accepted the amount with held. Before that, results showed that we owed instead of receiving a credit. (I have to manually confirm (4 times) that software did NOT recognize that the portion of the income was with held).
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Not a good program for Seniors

Ninety percent of this software does not apply to Senior Citizens but you won't do anything to simplify things. I ran into several issues that caused confusion and wasted time. Most of which were poorly described, hard to understand and not applicable.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
