Great features, but could use a little more hand-h

Product is good and generally easy to use. Unfortunately, the instructions for saving the completed file is not as clear as the rest of the program. I want to know not only how to save it, but also what I am saving, so that when I take it off my computer, I will know what I have and how it might be used. For example, would I have to insert and open the saved file next year, or is the information kept at Block?
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

Not user-friendly/more difficult to use every Year

H&R Block software is getting more complicated and difficult to use and understand every year. I am not an accountant, and I need tax software that is simple and easy to use.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

I bought H&R Block Deluxe (Federal & State) Software in CY 2010 when my loving wife, Joanne and I purchased our home. I have relied on it since and never had any issues.
I lost Joanne in June 2024 and this led to complications in filing. I was able to file Federally but was informed that your software could not file for a deceased person in CT. I could file if I could change the answer to a Federal interview question (FIQ) but had already filed Federal and I suppose that was the reason why I could not change the FIQ. Therefore; I would have to file a paper return which I did but was not in favor of doing so due to uncertainties of various schedules and other complexities.
If I have any issues with the State of Connecticut, I will be in touch, but in the fifteen years that I have used your software, that is the only issue that I have noticed.

It has been since the 80s that I took a tax class in college so my skills are rusty. I depend on the software to figure out how to properly enter my info. Some of the questions are beyond my understanding. I replaced my roof in 2024 and trying to understand what I could do was next to impossible. I think I did it correctly but I woukd think finding rhe right thing to do would be clearer.
