Data security? Accurate calculation and accuracy assurance? Do you even know what those mean? Apparently not, from my experience.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

H&R Block failed me for the first time in a decade

The software crashed constantly while entering crypto sales. It was slowing down as I entered more than 500 transactions. No import option that Turbo Tax could handle. After submitting my return, the app was unable to print my return and the local copy corrupted so I cannot open it anymore. Now I have to re-do everything again to be ready for next year

I've used the Deluxe version for many many years and had been pleased. This year, I faced decisions in the program that were extremely difficult to make. I was also disappointed in the state version because there was no real help or guidance on the Arkansas exemption on veterans pensions. Past Versions Were Much More Appreciated

Encountered fraudulent action when taxes filed.

I purchased H&R Block Download on 4/5/2025 from Amazon. I attempted to use the software. I did install it. However, when I submitted the results to the IRS electronically, I received a "Rejected" reply from the H&R Block (or the IRS) because my SSN had been fraudulently used at an earlier time. I am still waiting for a call from the fraud department. I presume that my tax return is still in limbo until someone is able to check in on it. The fraudster is female (as I was told her name when I called H&R). I neglected to get the fraudster's name. As I have used the H&R product for many years, this is the first time I have encountered this type of problem. I have therefore decided to use a different service in the future.

Still Won’t Install with MyDocs on Network Share

PLEASE fix your software. Every year I get an error because this software is unable to install if My Documents is mapped to a network share. It is a complete pain in the butt and I will switch to TurboTax next year because of it.
