I used this software and it would not let me file my tax return. I had to send it in paper form.

We have used the software for probably 10-20 years. For 2021 taxes, it was horrible. The program wouldn't send out all of the required forms when efiling and we had to search online for a fix. We had to do extra steps to make it work. This took over 2 weeks to figure out. The the IRS said we owed, when we were go get a refund. We will no longer use the software.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents

Been using H&R Block software for over 20 years. The basic version is usually sufficient but I needed more last year.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Financial data import didn’t work and poor support

We bought H&R Block tax software to make doing our taxes easier and less stressful. Last year, neither of those 2 things happened. 2 big complaints:
1) Your software didn’t allow us to import our financial data from Charles Schwab.
2) Your customer support was not good. They couldn’t give us a date when you would have your software fixed and they told us to manually input the data. That’s absolutely ridiculous. We had way too much information to input and the main reason we bought the software was for the financial data import feature. Not good!
