Everything went along fine until accuracy review. My wife had passed and IRS requires a "care of" input, but the program does not ask the question so it required lots of effort to solve the problem.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

great ease and use of product, but why charge when there are so many free tax software sites out there? you should be free for particular classes, like veterans and seniors. and state should be free because states are free filing from their direct sites!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

HR Block Deluxe with State a great tax product

I have used HR Block for filing Fed & State tax for greater than 30 years. I had an opportunity to try TurboTax for virtually no cost and gave it a try. It was ok, no major issues, a bit less intuitive moving through the Fed forms. E-filing seemed to take longer, more steps? The next year I returned to HR Block with no regrets. Great product.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

The Federal tax program needs improvement on Schedule A Itemized Deductions for medical expenses. Break into more detail following publication 502. The Michigan State program is confusing on the Subtractions from Income for retirement income for people born before 1950.

Bought this last year ahead of tax season. Handles most items well but struggles with some K-1 forms. I enter the information on the form and the program won't accept it. Just doesn't like "0" for an entry even through it is on the K-1 and some codes that are clearly on the K-1 are flagged as invalid. Also section 897 dividends and section 897 capitol gains failed to import from a Merrill Lynch statement. Had to manually enter from the hard copy statement. .
