Great value for the money. My only complaint is that 1099-B stock sale transactions are rounded up and then totaled on the schedule-D. The 1099-B statement does not round transactions thus making a discrepancy in what the software records and the total amounts reported to the IRS.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worked very well. More characters required than "Worked very well ", so here are more characters. Personally I thought "Worked very well" would be adequate for the clowns who asked for this survey, but I guess not.

Your free filing works good if you are getting a refund. I had to pay in and adding insult to injury you you want to charge me a percentage to pay Electronicly. I will no longer use your software.

There is a confusing error in the software where it asks about RMD to see if you've taken enough. I did take enough but the form somehow showed I had excess accumulations, which is false. I had to search for this problem in online chat groups to find this was a known error, not corrected as of 4/9/25, and the way to deal with it was to delete the form. Luckily, I caught it so it wasn't flagged by the IRS.
Also, the MA entry for pre-taxed retirement contributions is not explicit and it's easy to forget to add in the current year's RMD.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It did not work right several times-didn’t adjust what we owed so we could see differences depending on our HSA and IRA contribution, figured our school tax wrong and then fixed it and then wouldn’t let me input dates of residency c accurately and I ended up not being able to file state because of program errors.
