For me it worked fine in the previous 5 years.
However this year, when I tried to save it in PDF format - it wanted me to download and install PDF955 app, which failed. May be it is because of my new Surface Pro computer.
I attempted to do it several different ways, and ended up with corrupting my prepared return. Needed to redo it one more time. Still could not save it in PDF format.

Software is hard to use compared to other software. I did my taxes, had a total amount owed then waited a months i did software updates and came to another amount to owe. I wonder if I send taxes to irs would you cover the amount difference.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

I like that I can opt out out of sharing my information. I think the way QCD is reported is terrible! There no straight forward way of entering it and can only get to it when you answer a series of questions in just the right way - make a mistake and you can never find it.

I've used H&R Deluxe for years and it's great when eFiling Federal and State returns together. However if doing a return where only Federal is eFiled, the program says, ".....we'll come back to the State later" but there's a slight disconnect. The program never progresses smoothly to have you print the State, Instead it takes you through the entire State questionnaire again. It takes quite a bit of searching to manually find a way to Print the State. Usually you have to go to Forms menu and make manual selections. If it wasn't for that awkward final Filing, I would give it 5 stars.
