I have used H&R Block tax software for many years and have been pleased with the ease with which it allows me to prepare and submit my tax returns (both federal and state). All I have to do is enter the data and answer questions accurately and the software does the hard part without any need for me to decipher or develop an understanding of the tax code itself.

It got the job done at a low cost. The platform feels tired and not always user friendly. When the program hiccups, you need to go and delete a form and redo the whole section. That happened to me with the home energy credit. The choices out there aren’t great, but this is a competent product.

I have used H&R Block for many years and have always appreciated how easy it was to use and understand. This year, for the first time I had figure out quarterly payments. For me it was confusing and required a lot of work. Maybe the program could ask to estimate the percentage of increase for the next year and then calculate the quarterly payments for that year.
