I always use H & R Block software to prepare my income tax return. The return is accurate and the prompts are easy to understand. Also, if I need to correct an item, it is easy to do so.

I've been using H&R Block tax software for 20+ years, so that says something in itself. It covers 95% of my normal tax issues, so I'm reluctant to change. The other 5% are special, one-of situations, and are not complicated enough that I can't handle manually, or so bad that I and compelled to use another program.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

I am having a problem I cannot print my return. It has been accepted by the IRS but I need a printed copy for my recirds

Mac version was very buggy. For weeks, updates would get stuck in an infinite loop and would not go through without hints from online searches. (Apparently, this bug has been around for years, shame!) Then, app wanted me to pay for the state return that was supposed to be included in the price. The wait for the phone support was quite lengthy, but fortunately the rep on the phone turned out to be very helpful and easily fixed my issue.
Pros: Easy to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

The process was straight forward enough. Overall I thought it was well thought out and worked as expected. Unfortunately the interface is a little dated and certainly not on par with some of the competitors. The price for the program and filing my state was also crazy high when compared to other programs that offer identical results.

Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund
