I will continue to use this product. I wish you would highlight the area's (i.e 1099-R, 1099-Int) that you have used to make it easy to find the data again. The 1099 forms especially are arraigned in some "strange" order. Please allow the background to be changed and not limited to white-Gray. How about dark, make it a selection for individuals. I use my nickname previous reviews in past years, now its telling me it is already in use. YES Its me again.

Have used for years. Don't understand software - enter data, go through prompts and amount due to IRS adjusts, as I expect. Hit "next" to move to next category, and number changes again without explanation. Also, when trying to use for a tax return for deceased person (1041), kept prompting me to fill out information for refund when - in fact - funds were owed to the IRS. Discussed with one of your tech people who agreed, said I would get contacted by another, more senior person, but I never was.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The program seemed to work ok and led me through the things I needed to do. The BIG problem was I bought it in 2024 and every time I tried to update it I had to contact support and have them help me find a stand-alone updater to download and use on my Mac. The program would NOT update the way it did in 2020-2023.

It works, but has problems

The software had no problem with 1099-INT, -DIV, or hundreds of -B. It does not handle K-1 (1065) at all, and you need to figure out where to put adjustments so that the 4797 and 8949 come out right. Even so, I'm not sure I did things correctly!
A MAJOR failing this year is that the estimated tax computation is completely wrong and as of 8 April, there is no apparent plan to fix it. The instructions mention 4 strategies, but they are not offered. The software insists on trying to estimate your 2025 income, even if you want to use the safe harbor strategy of 110% of your 2024 tax bill. I ended up using the IRS forms for the computation.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare
