All went well until entering oil and gas revenues and expense and getting them in the correct page. Very confusing to me year after year.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents

Somewhat buggy software

1. When I tried to do my state return, my Colorado software was not on the list. I reinstalled the product (repair). I was then able to complete my Colorado return and Efile.
2. During my federal filing process I was told to check yes or no for virtual currency income. I was not allowed to do that. The no box was red, and clicking it had no effect. I had to go back in and delete an entry of unknown origin referring to virtual currency. I was then able to go back and check no.
The above nonsense cost me at least two hours on my simple retur.

We have used the H&R Block software for years. There have been 2 years in which we had issues with the software and I have attempted to get help by calling and by visiting an office. I neither year was I successful getting the help I needed.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Excellent program! I switched from TurboTax to H&R Block because my "old" iMac OS is no longer compatible With TurboTax. I wish I had switched years ago. The H&R app is much easier to navigate, and is less expensive.
