Stuck will not update!

I've used H&& block software for many years wihtout problems,but this year I'm to have to fill out my state taxes off line. H&R delux state will not update to allow the state form start. I've downloaded the and ran the .exe file but still wants an update. I'll try monday to call in but don't that will any fun.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The {C program is great. A few items a little hard to understand and get clarification on but otherwise a great product. The online version not so much. It is hard to navigate and go back and change things.

I have been using H&R Block tax software for over 20 years, since it was known as Taxcut. It is easy to use, with clear questions and easy editing capability. My only real con concern is the additional charge to submit a state tax return by e-submission, like the federal return. Also, it would be nice to be able to get the program on a physical medium for later retrieval if necessary -- it's too easy to lose the code for the reload.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

I've used this software for several years to prepare my Federal and State taxes and have always been completely satisfied with the results. That was until I used the 2024 software. After completing all the information on one page and then clicking the next tab to start inputting information on the next page, the software would skip the next page. I found it necessary to click the back than to find the skipped page throughout the entire filing.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used this software for years and works well for me. Some items need better explanation. But, considering how the Government makes things twice as hard as it needs to be, no wonder. I hope the DOGE will clean up the Tax Code while they're at it.
