We use H&R Block every year. I was disappointed to purchase the Deluxe + State to find that the state download was free, but I still had to pay to file the state online. Deceptive! This should all be free, but until it is, HRB is fine.

Still seems to work well. There is a bug in the insurance area that is still there from last year. It says that you don't need to enter your Medicare id but the error check will not pass unless you enter it.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

I have been using the downloaded software since about 2006 and continue appreciate the guidance that it provides and being able to start with last year's info. And every year, I have been able to finish in about a day. The challenges come in the form of 1) stability, I now save after each change for fear of crashing and loosing work. This year in particular, it crashed a lot and didn't give any indication why. 2) ability to bulk load information. Would be great if where there are many rows of information to enter, I could put it in a spreadsheet and import it, then validate what was imported. An example area is 1099-B. And 3) this year the integration with my financial institution changed and didn't work. I called support and worked through troubleshooting steps, and ended up having to enter the information manually, hence my #2 above.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents
