There were several years that I would have rate this program 5 Stars . For the past two years there seems to be a glitch in filing direct with the IRS. i.e. Nit recognizing using the correct pin or previous year AGI to verify identity. Very frustrating.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The tax software product is fine and I have used it for years. The challenge is when you want to ask a tax question of a professional. The web site is incapable of providing that service. All that is available is to submit you tax documents for filing a return. It is impossible to just connect with someone to ask a question.
Pros: Easy to prepare

I started using HRB when turbo tax return required me to purchase a much more expensive version of their product because I buy and sell stocks and receive capital gains. This product is easy to use either by the guided method or self entered.
