Much easier and intuitive than TurboTax but still missing some things.
The software STILL, after years, does not include AZ Credit form 348. It enters the needed value into form 301 but does not produce the form. Also, the software tells you that you need to file the federal 1040 schedule A with the state return but forces you to print it separately. Finally, since the forms are included, the AZ state return must be filed on paper that causes a 12+ week delay in getting my refund!

The HRB Deluxe software has never handled Roth "back door" conversions very well. Everytime I did one of these, I had to work my way around its issues with a customer putting money in an IRA and then immediately moving it over to a Roth. Now that I'm retired, this was the first year that I took a distribution from the IRA that was converted from my employer's 401K. I have zero basis in my IRA account, and despite the fact that I answered "no" when the software asked me if I had any basis in my distribution, it plugged in $7,000 on the basis line on my Form 8606. If i hadn't caught this error and overrode the software's entry, I would have incorrectly underpaid the tax on my IRA distribution.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked OK except for new IRS Security pin. I saw no place on HRBlock form to enter my 6 digit pin. My transmission to IRS was rejected because of the missing pin. I followed Block instructions and refilled my transmission to IRS was accepted.

I've been an HR Block user for many years. The software is excellent. The interview walks you through the entire process and makes sure that you don't miss anything. Couldn't be simpler. My only complaint is that there seems to be limited support for reporting on K-1 Corporations. It's hard to tell if you are doing everything correctly. Otherwise, it's a great product.
