I was able to use H&R Block software to prepare my taxes. It did a complete job for all my needs and I was able to file both my state and federal returns electronically. The Federal reyturn was accepted within an hour abd the state return was accepted the next day. Only issue I experienced was in using the Form 8949 with my Capital gains worksheet. My 1099 DIV Forms said I needed to prepare the Form 8949 and the program did not complete them as I entered data but I was able to pull up the form and complete them manually. Another area for improvement would be to click on an entry on a form and have the program take you to the data source/sources so I could confirm all the data was entered. Overall I was satisfied with the software and would recomend it o others.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I always use H&R block to prepare my taxes. Have for years, never had an audit or question from IRS. Will continue to use this software. It is easy to use and understand. Good at explaining most issues.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
