I have used Block software for years. This year it said I had a "clean" return -- no issues. I e-filed only to be rejected because my 5-digit pin "signature" didn't match IRS files. The IRS pin I was mailed had 6 digits. The software was truncating the IRS pin even though it was entered elsewhere in the return prep process. I called Block help number and explained my problem. I was repeatedly put on hold for 15 minutes at a time as the receptionist "checked with my team." Multiple fixes were tried over an hour on the phone. Nothing worked. I then had to spend several hours printing 30+ pages of returns, attaching documents, etc. and mailing. A refund days will now take months. A pretty basic software flaw found Block team unaware and unable to solve.
