I purchased the Deluxe plus state tax program and I'm happy with the ease of using the program. However, I also paid to electronically file the state program. I see that both the federal and state returns have been accepted but I can only get details on the federal return. I cannot get the confirmation details on the state return. The "check status" is only next to the federal return. This is disappointing since I paid an extra fee to file the state return.

I've used this software for the past 20+ years and have been fully satisfied with it in the past but this year not so much. I found the instructions on the "Required Minimum Distribution" lacking, so much so that I had to ask a CPA what it was talking about. The software misinterpreted my RMD as being late and applied the penalty falsely because of data I entered due to the poorly written instructions.
