I've bought this software every year, so it pre-fills in all my identifying info. All I have to do is type in the figures from the tax forms I receive and respond to any questions that the program asks me. The software then files my federal and state tax returns for me electronically.

Some problems, very frustrated

I've used the software for many years but this year I had an Identity Protection PIN from the IRS. Apparently there is an option to enter this under the Miscellaneous tab but "Identity Protection PIN" does not appear at the top level and the topics that can be naviagated to contain nothing that would have brought this issue to mind. Consequently I submitted the return without this info. Furthermore, the IRS accepted the return and so now I don't know whether this is going to slow down processing as I would expect since that is the whole purpose of the PIN! Meanwhile I tried the online help system--no help. Tried phone help but it is a bot and couldn't help me. Tried the chat option but it is also a bot. How do I talk to a real person?

The software gets easier and easier to use each year. Because I've been using it for over 10 years it just builds upon itself to where it just gets easier to use. I have recommended the software to so many people who were afraid to do their own taxes, even simple taxes. A great part about this software is that you know where your money is coming from and you know where your money is going.
