Been using this program for 10 years or so. I like it. Main reason I buy it is because I had complicated taxes due to businesses I had and I can easily import prior year info which saves me time.

Needs revision in the area regarding investments

Overall the software was ok. But the part regarding required minimum distributions from an IRA were confusing. The terms used were not user friendly. And if you misunderstand the questions and answered them incorrectly, the program would apply a penalty.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Convenient to self-prepare taxes, but becomes more and more expensive each year. I find help topics ( help links) to be very limited and not providing enough information so in many cases the one needs to search other sources and study IRS brochures to figure out the answers. Also the State filing has become unreasonably expensive and makes me returning back to paper filing format.

Overall, good. Not as user friendly as TurboTax but I left TurboTax this year because of their ridiculous rules that "all" information goes through and "into" their website. More examples of directions within the help drop downs would be beneficial. Took me a long time to understand how QCDs were handled but after third start-over I finally got itand it worked well. Had some confusion with having to scroll up and down to see where to click in order to progress because pages were not wholly displayed on my MacBook Pro.
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare
