I submitted my tax return with a $200 refund exactly as directed; IRS corrected it to owe $1800. No good way to find out why. No correction in HRB process. Not happy.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I'm signed up for the annual update and submission, very convenient, always comes. I find the software very easy to use and I'm not an accountant by any means. Appreciate the questions that come up during the completion of the return, helps avoid potential errors. Always recommend to my friends and family when they are selecting the software. I've used the other large company that I won't include but find the H&R software easier to use and very accurate.

I have used this program for a number of years, and because of that, is is very convenient to keep using it so that there is continuity in my returns. I know how to use it, and it is very thorough. The price is always very competitive if I purchase it early. I did not rate it at 5 stars because there was an issue this last year in reporting the Recovery Rebate Credit. The software said that I was eligible for the credit, the IRS said that I was not.

The software is easy to use because the strep by step directions take you through the process in an organized manner and helps ensure you are properly filing your return. The package also provides me with the state income tax preparation I need, taking all of the applicable data from the federal return and applying it to the state return so only one data entry is needed.
