For more than 15 years, I relied on Turbo Tax, but when their product was no longer compatible with my OS, I switched, albeit with trepidation. I was pleasantly surprised at the ease with which HR Block’s Deluxe Tax package imported all my 2013 tax information from Turbo Tax and easily imported my interest, dividends, and capital gains from my investment accounts at various firms. Now, let’s see what the IRS thinks of my 1040 and accompanying forms, which were e-filed for free today. So far, I am thoroughly impressed with the HR Block software.

Not user friendly , at all. My CPA neighbor had very little problem with it, but he said that TurboTax was much easier to use.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used H& R Block tax software for years, but this year (2024), I had to file two different state returns for income earned in a state I did not live in, plus my home state. The software kept doubling my income on the state forms because each state reported my wages differently and it added them together. I tried many ways to enter the information, but eventually I had to manually override the calculated income amount. When you override a calculation, you have to print and mail the taxes. I can't be the only one with this problem, so I hope they fix it by next year or I may try another software.
