Great, mostly automated product for a pretty good price. Import your data from last years' return, plug in a few new numbers, and the software does the rest. You really can' ask for much more... Well, maybe not having to pay taxes at all would be better, but this runs a close second since you have to pay them anyway.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Difficult to get assistance when audited by the IRS and in the end, was no assistance at all. Not only did the IRS assess more taxes, but also interest and a penalty. I see the questionable entry on the return, but I still do not know why the entries were wrong.
Pros: Easy to prepare

useful tool for preparing tax return with flexible navigation. Never had a crash or operational problem. The deduction Pro portion is useful if itemizing charity donations. Advise and explanations for tax situations can be superficial. The restriction on gathered state tax data being extracted is frustrating and appears to be a revenue generator rather than being a technical limitation. Ability to extract state data short of preparing the return should be a capability available tor those who desire to prepare their own state return.

Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I usually by the Deluxe each year and have had no problems. This year I bought the Premium upgrade and it never loaded. Stick with what you originally purchase

Simple to use and never had an issue or mistake using this. E Filings are reviewed before sending and allow for ease of correction if necessary. Just wish we still received the program on disc since I have limited bandwidth and Sat. is very slow..
