I've been using HR for 6 or 7 years now and I like it much more than TurboTax. However, this year I noticed that it is difficult to remove some selections and revert to your earlier return. I was confused about some IRA transfer choices I made, in the HR program, so I checked a certain box, filled in a number (related to a funds transfer from my traditional IRA to my Roth) then decided that my choice to report the funds move in that way was incorrect. But I could not remove my erroneous choice and go back to my earlier return copy. And the difference in calculated taxes was a lot. I had to dump the incorrect return and start all over again. Pain in the butt. I guess what your programs need is the ability to do "what if" comparisons.
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

This years program had multiple bugs. I could not manually enter 1099 b data. Form entry was cut off short and would not allow entry. Also once you fixed final review info the program would not show your entry but instead kept repeating same warning.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
