Too complex - Please provide a 1040-EZ version

It seems to be a "one size fits all" program, with too many sections that don't apply to me, and forms/questions to things I don't quite know what they refer to. I found the process to be extremely laborious and very frustrating. It took me two and a half hours, and I have a pretty straightforward and simple situation: Social security income, pension income, 1099-INT/1099-DIV form, standard deduction, no itemized deductions. Please, can't you come up with an EZ version?
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

The software does what it should, once I get it working. However, for the past several years I have the same 2 problems with it.
1) The Federal program will not update from inside the app itself no matter how many times I try. I find it necessary to go to your website and download the update, then install it separately. This is inconvenient and annoying.
2) For the 3rd year in a row, the state program which I have purchased as part of the Deluxe + State software package is not presented for installation from inside the app, when I get to that place in completing my return. I find that I have to call you, explain the situation, get questioned by a rep who always seems to imply that I'm doing something wrong (i'm not), then receive a link from the agent to download the state program myself. Extremely frustrating. This year I almost purchased your competitor's product, but they seem to have their own problems so I didn't. I would love to see this issue fixed however.

H&R Deluxe + State:- forms not set up for printing

I have used H&R Block software for years and have been totally satisfied. This year, however, I ran into problems with the Iowa state software. When printing the Interest and Dividend tax forms the printing ran off the page and the remainder of the tables appeared at the top of another page. I was forced to tape pieces of official forms together and go to a copy shop to copy the "patched" form on 81/2 14" paper. More care needs to be given to printing set-up
I would recommend this to a friend!
