The use of your program seems to have worked fine but I sent my check to IRS Charlotte as indicated on March 19 by Certified Mail, Tracking and requiring a Return Receipt. As of today March 27, USPS Tracking is showing that it has not reached its destination after 8 days. Is there any help you can provide)

Simple to use deluxe&state. Not sure why there is such a high charge for submitting state return electronically since can now do free for my state or cheaper to print and send priority mail. When I had to use premium as a self employed I found that sometimes that program was not helpful in explaining some items. But am happy with the deluxe&state. Have been using this program since when it was called Taxcut.

I have been using this product for several years. Knowing H&R Block is over this software, has support if you need it, and will assist if an audit is ever done, gives me confidence in the product. I am in full-time ministry and the software takes care of the worksheet required by the IRS.

I have used H&R Block software for nearly a decade to prepare and file both federal and state taxes. It’s a pleasure to have some fields auto populated from year to year. While my taxes typically are straightforward, the need to request additional information does occur. It seems the software does not have a very exhaustive database of information to explain options, as I routinely query the IRS website to obtain the answers I need. I also am concerned to see updates to the software occurring well into March; this leads me to question whether it’s safe to file on any given date.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

(1) Some parts confusing. (2) Make a Linux version

First: Linux version needed, as Windows 11 requires new computer.
Secondly: overall good, BUT:
Some parts were confusing, for example the parts dealing with Required Minimum Distribution (RMD):
it asked for filling out the RMD amount early in the process, and then later asked for it again (saying it was mandatory if I had done it earlier), but did not make clear that the 2nd instance dealt with a RMD EXCESS DISTRIBUTION (which I did not have), so as a result I mistakenly entered the ORDINARY RMD again (making it double), which caused a tax to be due.
It was difficult to figure out how a wrong tax had been calculated by your program, and it took some time to find the way to go back to find and delete the wrong entry. There was no clear distinction between ORDINARY RMD and EXCESS RMD. There were no explanations or warnings or pointers on how to correct the problem.
