I have used HR Block yearly for my taxes since the early 2000s. This year I owed more than ever, and though that is not the programs fault, with access to all my previous years, I wish it gave a better explanation as to what changed.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchase the program every year. It is convenient and not too difficult to use. The importation of financial is a real time saver. One import thing to know is that if you reimport your financial data you will get an extra copy - make sure you delete these.

I’ve been using this tax software for decades and the last two years they made it really difficult to print out your tax return. I don’t know why I just can’t select my printer like every other app I’ve ever used.

I was much less impressed with this years program than the one I used for the last few years. It was harder to navigate and my state form didn't allow me to avoid paying social security income which my state dropped on January 1 of 2024. I did not get the return I should have gotten.
