Been using the software for years. For the 1st time had a problem with the software. Had done all the entry and since I owed, waited a while before submitting. When I tried, software could not get my data. Got some phone help and she was excellent. Went through the possible issues until she hit the solution. Took quite a while but she was patient with me (not being so adept with computer software) and did not rush. Got the fix without losing my data and was able to proceed to submission.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

Been using for years and generally satisfied with program. Major complaint: wanted to get into last years (2023) program to check data and computation, but had reloaded hard drive. Did not have cd and refuse to pay for a new copy that I already payed for. NOT satisfied!!
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to prepare

Had a lot of difficulty with the program this year

It wouldn't let me clear what it thought were mistakes. I am a senior, but do not get social security. I had so much trouble getting it to send, I think I sent it twice. What should I do know. It was an easy program to use several years ago.
Cons: Time consuming

Software is thorough, but descriptions are not always correct. Doesn't let you jump to sections of interviews, lots of clicking through if going back and forth. For the level of quality, this should be free.

I've use HR block tax software for many years. It keeps improving. Though sometimes a bit more explanation on some of the options on the boxes lets say caf125, those options with more clarity would be helpful.

I have been using H&R Block for a lot of years. Over the years, the software has worked well. However, this year I really should speak to someone about my federal and State of Vermont filing but I don't know how to contact a person, rather than a series of recorded messages. I found that I overlooked a 1099 related to the sale of stock which was at a loss. I also realized that the State of Vermont refund was unusually large. Can you set me in contact with someone to help me. I have already filed both returns and they were accepted.
