I created my return and submitted it. It was accepted by the IRS. However, when I reopened the .t24 file I received an error message saying, "File invalid or damaged internal format" . It then said to update the program which I did, but it still will not open my t24 file. Therfore I do not know how I will have a file to access in order to complete my next year's return.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The program works pretty well. The only issue that I had was during the review phase I kept getting an error on the W-2 portion. It kept saying that line 3 was a larger amount than line 1. No matter how many times I re-entered the same amount in both lines, I kept getting the same error. I finally had to reduce line 3 by 1 dollar to clear the issue. Other than that the software for 2024 worked as well as previous years.
Pros: Easy to prepare
