I am satisfied with my overall use of the software to complete my Federal & State taxes. I do wish that there were a more efficient process for filling out the forms.

I've been using this software for 40 years. I like the interview style and the fill in the data forms. As my financial situation changed over the years my taxes have become more complex. H&R Block has been able to handle everything I needed.
My one issue is after the review, the software didn't suggest or allow me to correct the red flags. This prevented me from submitting my state taxes electronically.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

Excellent layout, clear approach. Been using it for 7 years. I would give it a higher rati g if it was easier to read. I have weak eyesight and it is not easy to read on my 24" monitor. Please put an accessibility feature in!

Product does what it says. My problem occurs because forms do not arrive when I start so I tend to skip around. The software, designed to have everything in front of you at the start, does not easily navigate back to earlier topics. This means finding the spot for entering a late arriving 1099 or K1 becomes a tedious search. Also, one issue I face is entry of state estimated payments. Because I know I will use Federal standard deduction, I skip through this topic. Much later, when I am doing the state return, I realize they are missing and need to do entries in the Federal return - this makes logical sense but getting back to this point is an issue. Can't this be simplified?
