Only one thing

Easy to use Only one problem. Your social security number in the Federal return must show the dashes but the NY State return doesn’t. It keeps showing up as a something that should be check since they don’t match

Process went smooth except for voucher and ...

I have used H&R Block Deluxe software for many years and it usually goes quite smoothly. I filed electronically but had to pay to my state taxes by check. The printed state tax form Cover page and overview gave the instructions to send in the payment check. It said "Attach your check or money order to the Payment Voucher" but the payment voucher for the state forms did not get printed. I had to manually go into the State Forms and select the voucher form in order to do this important step. Also, when verifying info for E-Filing the software wanted confirmation of the AGI for last year. The number was filled in but was wrong. When overriding, it warned that if incorrect the IRS will not accept the return. I verified with my tax form from last year and did override it. The IRS did accept my e-filed forms so my override must have been correct. Not sure where the software got its incorrect value

I've used this software many years. Still have same concern that I've reported 10 consecutive years. Im visually challenged and need larger font but when font is large program is unusable due to many buttons are off screen and can't be selected. Other than not being able to comfortably read it is great.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

You cannot import data from the Franklin Templeton for your tax return. Just about every other one is located in the list except that one. That's the one I need!
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Hard to import documents

Sucks - won't efile my state return

I purchased this to simplify my federal & state tax returns and, when finished, electronically file both. Shocked & disappointed that it wouldn't electronically file with the state of Ohio. Never would have purchased it had I known I would have to print & send a return via the mail. Don't buy this program.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Plus state does not include e-file

When I purchased this I was looking for a product without additional costs. If the e-file is included for the Federal form why does that not include the state e-file costs? The software was very helpful, but the marketing of this product is not transparent with the lack of e-file for the state form.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

I’ve used H&R Block for over 20 years. I taught income tax to accounting majors for 15 years and have found that this is accurate and easy to use.
