Program did the math fine, but for the THIRD YEAR RUNNING was unable to transmit my federal return electronically because of what has to be a coding error in the transmission segment. So I have to pay to mail it and wait longer for my return, a perhaps key point this year since I am putting my return in I-bonds, and the interest rate changes soon. Other pains: it does not do part-year or non-resident returns for my state (Vermont)--if you advertise that you do a state return, you should do it! It charges to file a state return electronically (same comment--that should be part of doing a return these days). I complained in writing twice about the submission problem regarding the Federal taxes this year alone, and did not get a reply either time. After at least 13 years of using this program, it sounds like it is time to look at Turbo Tax.
I have been using H & R Block since 2020 and each year it seems easier to maneuver through the program. I also had some questions and they provided a Tax Pro call back at a time convenient for me.
Results got rejected by IRS multiple times. Help was nonexistent. Basically said change what’s wrong and resubmit! Had to keep guessing what could possibly be wrong and resubmit. I have a simple return and nothing has really changed much from previous years. Never had this issue before.
