H&R Block leads me thru tax prep so nothing is missed. I like their data forms review that makes sure nothing is missing. The audit probability ranking is reassuring. If you've used the software before, they refill info in like your name, address, etc. And they have forms displayed that you've used in the last to fill in with the current year information.

H&R IRS and State software was very straightforward to use. It walks the filer through each step. All that's needed are the documents about income and deductibles like local and state taxes and mortgage income. It won't let you forget anything with its lists of what to consider.

I have used H&R Block tax software for many years. I have used it for my own returns, and for my Dad's when he was alive, and after he passed away. The interview style is easy to navigate and filing online is very straightforward. As a VT resident, it takes care of filing the Homestead Declaration along with the form IN-111. It can import from various personal finance software programs, and can import last year's return to get started on the current year. I rely on it every year.

I had trouble when I forgot an item I needed to put in, the day after I had inputted all my data. I tried to go in and insert the data but when I hit enter, the program would not retain my added information. I tried calling your help desk but no one could help me because I couldn't talk to a human being it was just your robot.
After that I had to just erase my entire input,and start over again like putting it in the first time. NOT HAPPY!!

When I tried to file, there was an updated needed. The update was scheduled for a week away so I had to wait a week to file with this program. When I logged in a week later to file, my code would t work and I had to call customer support. Very inconvenient.
Cons: Hard to import documents
