Ability to e-file is extremely disappointing. After updating the software on various dates in accordance with the instructions per the "Update the Program" feature, the returns have been rejected twice. Both times your notification read "Your return was rejected because of a problem with our e-file process." I am now pending a third attempt to file after the next update (3/13/2023), despite the fact that the message prior to each previous attempt indicated that no further updates were expected. Also quite disturbing is that each attempt to e-file requires a new / additional payment to re-file the State Return!!!
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used H&R for about 4 years but this time my return has been rejected twice by the IRS for flaws in H&R software - still waiting for the latest fix until March 14. Not acceptable.
