OK for most, but RMD stuff not

all worked just fine until the IX part of RMD, As I took some RMD as QCD and rest as income, this part wit covered was very unclear
had issues until saw that most should have the IX part blank.

I have used H&R Block software now for several tax seasons, and I am comfortable with it. This year the IRS sent me a note saying the calculation of penalty was too low. They increased it by about 5%. You may want to take a look at that.

A Great Solution for Straightforward Tax Filing

I love the import feature to get all of the complex 1099 forms into the return. Even though I have to proof all of it because of how my financial institution reports the data, it is still much easier than manually entering this. A fault in this year's software is that if you are age 62 or older, it automatically assumes that you are collecting Social Security and asks Medicare/Medicaid interview questions. This is OK, but there should be an option to not display this in the interview again if you don't have this data to enter. I have found that for the states of Colorado and New Mexico, it is not worth paying for the state tax software. You have to enter this again online or on paper for these states. I suggest anyone using the state software for the first time review how their state collects this data. In my case, it was not worth purchasing it. Lesson learned.
