Used H&R Block on a Mac Book running Monterey and the software would constantly crash and I'd loose data.
Cons: Time consuming

I have used H&R Block software for many years. I find it easy to use and accurate. I like how it transfer data seamlessly to my State tax forms. Great to be able to efile taxes to speed my refund.

The program allowed me to create a return that was rejected for 7 days before I got corrected software. Many people were affected by this.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've been using Block tax software since it was Taxcut. Just had a problem this year entering Stock sales. Finally realized had to click on 2 screens to get to place to enter info.
Pros: Easy to prepare

Overall it is easy to use and accurate. I did keep get data verification notice for downloaded forms because of too many decimal places in number of shares, and for downloaded forms where only the last 4 digits of the social security number were provided. I wish the summary printed out MAGI for reference purposes. I could not find an estimated planning section with 740-es form for my Kentucky state return.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
Cons: Hard to import documents
