Unforseen problem

Had a problem with a 1099misc that I assumed was automatically imported from a source from last year. Not positive but the source had slightly changed their name and possibly had a new fed tax id. Deleting the old one and reinputting the source solved the problem. Not sure how the software could detect an issue like this and alert the consumer.
Cons: Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

1st time user of H & R Block software. I was a little disappointed at first, being familiar using Turbo Tax since the beginning. In the long run I got through it, filed and got my refund. I will say I think Turbo Tax is somewhat easier to move around. The price of Turbo Tax is what made me change software this year.

I didn't feel like this year's version was up to snuff. I've used TaxCut /H&R Block for more than a decade I think; this is the first time I was a disappointed. I must have used H&R Block online last. I know I used some of H&R Block, because my return from last year says so-- yet this year's version would not import all my data from last year's forms. It could read some of my data from my 2023 return, but the program couldn't read some of it, so I had to retype quite a bit. And it made mistakes reading some of my W-2s and so forth, so if you import any documents, make sure you check all the numbers. If I'm paying to use Block again this year because I've used it for years and the compatibility saves me time, but this year it was not as compatible, enough that I'm not sure that the compatibility saved me time, then why should I continue to use Block. Sorry, you reached out and asked me for the review and that's my reality. It worked but was definitely a bit of a disappointment.

My state return is automatically filled after I complete the Fed. The accuracy checking is a real plus!
It took me about 90 minutes to complete my returns and E-file them.
