I have a problem with the state forms preventing me from filing my return. Chattted with support who went through their script and had me jump to the usual non-productive hoops, then said they'd escalate and get back to me in 5 to 7 business days. Also program does not support all of the state forms I need.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The software is fine, importing last year's return is easy if you used H&R's software last year. The software itself is hardly different year to year, and is very dated in terms of installation procedure and use.

I've used H&R Block software for a lot of years now. it's always been great to use. This year, however, I ran into an apparent bug. When entering the information for one of my 1099R forms Block 7 I entered a 7 for ordinary distribution, but when I came back for review I found it had been changed to L. I changed it back to 7 then when I came back for more review it had been changed to H. I changed it back to 7 and hopefully it stayed at 7.
