I have used the HRBlock software for 6 years now. I consider it user friendly, but could be a bit more friendlier. Some of the questions could be stated more simple. The yearly cost is cheaper than going to a tax preparer and the efiling is just awesome. The cost of efiling the state return is not bad, but it would be nice if it were free, like the federal. All and all I really like the software and will continue to use it and recommend it.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Program was easy to follow for the federal. The state was confusing because of state questions. Can't blame program for state .

Tax Cut continues to disappoint. The Ohio program appears to be worthless. I had to make payments to OH in 2024, part of which was returned.. Federal was OK. Only bought it this year because of many prior years of successful filings for self and business.
Cons: Time consuming
