I've used H&R Block for many years. It worked very well in the past so I decided to use it again for 2024 taxes. This year it would NOT read the .T23 file from last year so I had to type in everything. Name and address were easy but it took several additional hours to figure out how to fill out some of the forms and do some calculations myself. I will definitely consider other tax programs next year.
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using H&R Block software for many years; and it's easy each year because it will fill in last year's basic information and it's quick for me to add new tax information. I feel better knowing that it does an audit check in accuracy check to flag you if something doesn't look right. Very satisfied.

I use the software to "what if" my taxes for the next year as well. They could add a few tools to make that a little easier. I am 70 and I have to prepare for RMD so I have been rolling some 401 funds into a Roth. As America ages we will need to anticipate RMD tax consequences .
