Functionality is acceptable for Federal tax return but inadequate for Alabama State tax return - specifically due to software incapable of filing electronically. Likely will not continue use of H&R Block in future tax returns.

THE EXTRA $1,400 FOR STD DEDUCTION WAS HARD TO FIND. I SPENT A LONG TIME TRYING TO FIND OUT WHERE THE EXTRA $2,800 CAME FROM. FINALLY I HAD TO GOOGLE IT. OTHERWISE THIS WAS THE EASIEST YEAR IN A WHILE. I HOPE I DIDN'T FORGET SOMETHING.

Unable to e-file Fed return. The rejection message and code were not helpful in figuring out why the IRS rejected my return. Further, the general message "Check the forms one by one to find errors, correct them and try to e-file again" is too general since the Form or section that is causing the issue/s is not mentioned. I tried about 5 times and now will mail the Fed return.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
