I was under the impression State e-file would be included, but only found out last minute, after everything was done, that it wasn't. It felt very much like they don't include that info, then spring it on you at the end when you've invested an hour or two of time in getting all your taxes entered.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund
I would recommend this to a friend!

After 45 years of preparing my taxes long-hand I decided to make the plunge this year and use tax software. A good friend of mine uses H&R Block software so I chose to give it a try. I give it a 9:10 for being user-friendly and intuitive to use. It even had the provisions I needed for my state return (PA), but I still had to mail a hard copy to the state related to Schedule OC. I also used it to prepare my Mother-In-Law and Sister-In-Law's federal and state returns. Now that our personal data is baked-in next year should be even easier. I have absolutely no regrets.

Have bought this and used it for many years. Very satisfied again. However I made a typo entry on my State of Michigan form that they caught but your software did not....kicked my refund back to Zero! Now I have to re-apply with the correction. Bummer.

The program does not use clear language to fill out an 1116 rendering it practically useless. It also does not work properly with RMD's.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

I have used H&R Block for several years with no issues. This year there was a problem with the state program. After talking with one of your agents, my state income tax people, I am convinced that there was a glitch in the state program. In particular in entering the 1099-R info. It didn't affect my mailing my forms in but may have been a problem if I wanted to e-file the state.
