Convenient that you can enter numbers as you get the various tax statements. I also like that you can do "what if" scenarios. I wish we didn't have to wait so long for the final updates. The extra State filing fees are a little annoying. When doing direct deposits of federal and state refunds, it would be nice to only enter routing and account numbers once of federal, and indicate the same for state.

IP IPN entry requirements wrong

E file rejected because software only takes 5 digits. My IPN from the IRS is 6 digits. Tried the 1st 5 digits then skipped the first digit to use 5. Both rejected by IRS. Also, IRS requires only primary filer PIN. Software requires both when filing jointly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Help function need improvement, design so it finds the best answer off the web. Which I had to use 4 or 5 time to get the answer to my question
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

When filling out charitable contributions for donated clothes using deductionpro for thrift store values, form 8283 was generated. However, deductionpro did not fill in the cost basis field, which flagged during error review. I manually typed in a number, but then later went back to adjust it and was unable. Clicking "override" on the form editor for the cost basis field disabled my return from being submitted electronically.
Also, it would have been nice to be able to append the deductionpro itemized list of items as a supplementary part of the tax return for electronic submission.
